It's simple: All you need are two wide-mouth mason jars, a BRUW filter, and your fave SnarkyBRUW cold brew blend.

Instructions:
1. Add 2 TBSP of loose leaf tea OR coarse ground coffee between the 100-200ml line, approximately 1/4 cup. This is the perfect amount for a delicious cup of tea or coffee, and foolproof filtering.
2. Fill your jar all the way to the top with cool water, attach the regular lid, and let it sit for 6-12 hours for tea & 18-24 hours for coffee.
3. After your cold brew is done steeping, remove the standard lid and attach the BRUW filter–straw side down–into your beverage.
4. Attach an empty mason jar to the top, flip the whole assembly, and watch as the magic happens.
DON'T use hot water for cold brew. Hot water will extract too many tannins, creating a bitter brew.
DON'T over-steep. The longer you steep, the stronger your brew can be. However, over-steeping Green + White teas can cause the same tannin effect as above, resulting in a bitter brew.
DON'T use bagged teas for cold brew. You need 4-5 tea bags per 32 oz mason jar, which produces unnecessary waste and adds a significant cost to your home brew. Loose tea is best for the cold brewing process.
DO choose cold brew specific blends. Most tea makers create cold brew blends using flavor notes and ingredients that taste best cold.

Not for coffee
I am as hoping to use it for cold brew coffee, but the Bruw allows alot of sludge to seap through. I think it would be ideal for loose teas though! The company was very responsive to my concerns and offered a full refund, so customer service is outstanding! They stand behind the product.

I have been making cold coffee for quite some time and my message was the big pickle jar and then I had to filter it through a metal screen and then a paper screen and it was quite laborious but I ended up with a nice clean fresh cup of cold coffee but with your product man it is easier I still have to put it through the paper filter to get that last little bit of grounds on but nevertheless it is much much easier thank you for your product. I really like the concept. However the plastic Bruw lid has a tendency to cross thread on the jars which can cause leaks. This happens most on the top jar. Other than that I like the product.

It makes cold brew coffee (sorta) filter gets clogged quickly and really have to shake/swirl it to get all through. Lots of smaller grounds make it through. I have bought the coarsest ground coffee I can find and find my self wanting to find a way to filter it a second time.

I love tea but now that it's getting hot out it's great to be able to make my own iced tea. So easy to use, filters very well (even better than my French press and fun to watch). Very easy to clean and I love that there is no waste (besides the tea leaves). It's been fun to explore new flavors. I love that it fits on any wide mouth mason jar, so I can try out a flavor with a smaller quart jar and make a bigger batch of a flavor I know I like with a half gallon.
